INFO

Physical Description: Speedwagon stands at about average height (making him much shorter than any of his fellow protagonists) with a lean build. He has long, thick blonde hair that he occasionally keeps tied back, and typically wears a checkered top hat. His most noticable feature is the deep scar running from his left cheek to the edge of his nose.
General Demeanor/Presence: While he tends to prefer being in the shadows, his often loud and clumsy demeanor can give him away. When trying to have a conversation, his voice is typically raised, and his posture is inherently confrontational. He puffs up like a bird wanting to fight.
Pertinent Medical Information: He has no serious physical ailments, but at his current canonpoint, he's recently recovered from a broken arm.
Personal Belongings: Even when in a non-combat situation, he typically carries his trusty hammer with him: a large, heavy sledgehammer that he used to destroy the Stone Mask. Other than that, he always wears Baron Zeppeli's hat: an expensive silk tophat with a black-and-white checkered pattern printed on it.
Current CALL Device Designation: HERO, occasionally on CALL.
Mentor/Journeyman/Student: Rookie
Residence/Business: N/A (yet!)
Powers/Skills: Speedwagon can "sniff out" the alignment of people: he was able to tell a man was evil just by being around him. If you want to opt-out of this, just let me know down below! All comments are screened. In addition to this, he's talented with a hammer.

[CHARACTER]
Character Name: Robert Edward O. Speedwagon
Character Age: 25
Wiki Page: Right here!
Canon: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood
Entry Point From Canon: After Jonathan and Erina Joestar embark on their honeymoon to America, but prior to Dio killing Jonathan.
Media Type: Manga adapted into an anime

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Speedwagon has the unusual ability of being able to “sniff out” the personalities of people he meets--quite literally. By scent alone, he can decide whether or not to trust them, making him an impressive judge of character. He mentions that his rough childhood granted him this ability to help him better survive on the difficult streets of his youth.

He is highly proficient with using a hammer in combat, moreso than the average person.

Heroic/Villainous/Neutral: Speedwagon is a definite hero, though canon treats him...a bit strangely. He is introduced as being a fearsome gangster but quickly sheds that persona after the Joestar mansion burns. He then shows a very soft and honorable side of himself, sacrificing his own safety again and again for the sake of his friends on several different occasions, though in narration he’s still noted as being a remorseless and uncaring gangster, directly contradicting his actions. For this reason, I believe that he is ultimately a hero, as his actions show a very brave and dependable man. He is consistently shown to be a very protective and caring man, as seen in his positive interactions with the child Poco and, later in his life, Erina Pendleton, and will honor promises to the very end, as seen with him refusing to court the widow of his closest friend out of respect for the both of them.

As for how easily he could be persuaded from this...well. He is extraordinarily susceptible to people treating him with even the slightest bit of kindness, so he is remarkably easily manipulated, as seen when Jonathan Joestar literally kicks him in the face but refuses to kill him, leading Speedwagon to follow him for the rest of his (admittedly short) life and take care of Jonathan’s family. He’s unused to being shown genuine care from other people, and so with the right words and actions, he could be persuaded to slide back down the scale of morality, particularly considering that he’s only about a month out of his criminal days at this current canonpoint. On his own, though, he’s likely to stay solidly where he is on the side of good, and even if he were somehow manipulated, it likely wouldn’t be a complete heel-face turn into villainry, not at all.
Mentor/Journeyman/Rookie: Speedwagon is absolutely a rookie, but edging his way along to journeyman. At his current canonpoint, he’s only perhaps a month or two out of his days as a career criminal, so he’s extremely unused to being a Good Person, whatever that means. He has issues with being loud and too blunt with other people, but he’s certainly trying to do better, placing him as a rookie with a pretty good shot at steadily moving forward. Especially without all of the positive influences he had back home, it might take a little longer, but the fact that he’s willing to try speaks wonders.
Which Area(s) Of The City Interest You For Your Character? Speedwagon would feel most at home in the City of Shadows, as it’s the most like where he came from. Dark alleyways and dreary buildings? Yep. This is exactly where he belongs. However, in addition to this, he might be interested in Romance of all places, because he feels a bit out of touch with that side of himself. He wants to able to compare to delicate romantics like Erina Pendleton, god dammit. He’s honestly just a real explorer, but he’d spend most of his time in those two locations.

Samples: Here and here! If you need more, I can provide!

Anything Else?: My first language isn’t English, so if anything needs clarification, let me know! I just care a lot about this soft boy.
